Happy with my purchase

I have not yet fished with this lure. It appears well made with substantial weight to get the job done.

They look great.

I haven’t used them yet. When the stripers get to the Cape I’m going to try them out in the Monomoy rips.

Rugged beauty

Casts like a dream. Looks amazing on the retrieve. Solid hardware and I hope something toothy never bites it off my leader. It’s my new favorite pitch bait

Squid in the Chesapeake Bay?

OK, I'll admit I got "hooked" by this one since I like the stuff Captain Mike and the crew make. So far for me, Hogy Lures have caught ALL my fish this past season. There's no bait allowed on my boat and we try out all sorts of artificial lures but so far Hogy is the clear winner. I watched a few videos and just had to try it.....especially since I think I own everything these guys make EXCEPT the Squid Plug. Figured I'd give it a go. At this time of year you have a lot of bigger bait and the Bunker are larger and schooling up a the mouths of the rivers and the Eastern Bay. The color pattern of this looked close enough to what Bunker look like when they are alive and it looked different enough to differentiate itself from the millions of fish that ALL look alike. It worked, worked well, caught some of the biggest fish I've landed this season and it was a TON of fun to throw. Besides, I know these bigger fish see this sort of bait along their pathways up and down the East Coast. They operate largely on instinct and millions of years of it so seeing something familiar probably made it work to my favor. Like all Hogy lures it's built TOUGH, looks great and it worked very, very well. A very satisfied Captain T out for now!
