We head deep into the Florida Everglades in search of early season Tarpon action along the shallow bays of Everglades National Park. Tarpon are staging in very shallow water, making excellent conditions for sight and blind casting to rolling fish. Pro Tail Paddles and the Charter Grade Sliders are the perfect presentations for swimming just subsurface along the shallow, tannic bays.

Inlets and passes offer the perfect combination of forage, current, structure, and passageways between the ocean and inland waterways. There is a good chance that tarpon will be available at nearly any Florida coastal inlet or pass at some point during their annual migration. Generally speaking, inlets and passes feature deep water and fast-moving currents, requiring anglers to deploy a heavier range of presentations to appropriately cover the water column.
