Description

Optimized for targeting tuna feeding on larger oceanic baitfish, the 4oz Hogy Tuna Epoxy Jig® offers unmatched casting distance, lifelike appearance, and rugged durability for high-impact pelagic fishing.

The 4oz Hogy Tuna Epoxy Jig® is a specialized version of the original Epoxy Jig® built to handle the strength and speed of tuna. Featuring a vivid scale finish core encased in a double-thick, translucent epoxy coat, this lure creates a highly realistic baitfish profile with exceptional flash and light refraction. Its ideal weight-to-length ratio allows for long, accurate casts and a natural sink rate that keeps it in the strike zone longer.

Whether you’re casting into foaming surface feeds or dropping into midwater columns, the Tuna Epoxy Jig® excels at mimicking large sand eels, herring, halfbeaks, and butterfish. It’s a go-to option when tuna are keyed in on slender, fast-moving bait.

    The perfect beach bonito offering

The 7/8 Hogy epoxy jig is the single best beach funny fish tin out there. Perfect mix of size/weight/action to use the majority of the time. The single inlines make releasing fish a lot easier and safer for everyone involved… but those trebles still hook more.

    Versatility

The Epoxy changed the game years ago, with such a variety of sizes and colors these jigs catch everything. From Bluefin Tuna to Black Seabass, never underestimate the epoxy. I use them throughout the season on a variety of species. They are easy for my clients to fish, and extremely effective.

    They just work

Bought some in preparation for albies, but I’ve caught several other fish on them (Black Sea bass, stripers, sea robins (yuck), and even a jack) They work well in both jigging and cast & retrieve, if there’s fish in your waters these will find them. Also worth mentioning the stock hardware is quality

    Lots of bonito

Great, this lure especially in the olive color always seems to work for me. Caught many bonito and false albacore trolling, casting and even jigging it
