Inshore Trolling System

The Inshore Trolling Philosophy

Trolling solves a problem that casting and jigging cannot: covering large areas of water at a precise, controlled depth.

When fish are scattered along a contour line, staged in a rip that stretches for hundreds of yards, or holding at a specific depth band in open water — casting puts your lure in a tiny fraction of the productive zone. Jigging gets you down but not forward. Trolling does both: it moves the lure through the strike zone continuously, searching and presenting at the same time.

In the Hogy System, inshore trolling is two tools: the Charter Grade Deep Diver for mid-depth to deep presentations, and the Tube & Worm for low-and-slow structure work. Together, they cover every inshore trolling scenario.
