Charter Grade Swimming Plug:

Hogy deep dive swimming plugs are simple in their design and color patterns. Built to the same specs as our tuna plugs the Hogy Charter grade Swimming plug will get the job done on any gamefish you are willing to tackle on stand-up gear. The 7” Offshore version has been tested at speeds up to 12kts. The question you likely want to know is how deep? We’ve tested this lure a bunch but have noticed current, boat speed and line amount are all factors at play. That said, we can safely say this lure will swim 20+ feet.

    Solid Movement

I love that you can feel their stride through the rod real well….also….when hooked up to a hot in a rip….you know you can hammer down the drag and pull the fish out without bending hooks and beating up the lure…

    Secret weapon for deepwater tarpon!

I've found this plug to be perfect for targeting scattered tarpon holding in 18' - 25' of water. Trolling at 3mph with the tide, the bait swims mid-water column, right where tarpon are holding. Hold the rod with the rod tip towards the water and hold on! So far, I've jumped 13 early season tarpon from 80lb - 150lb on the plug while others were struggling with live and dead bait.

    Shhhhh. Don't tell anyone!
