Designed for imitating small micro forage such as bay anchovies, silverside, and rainbait to name a few. The ‘Chovy Jig’s flared gills coupled with end-to-end lateral line elevation facilitate side-to-side wobble action. When fished vertically, the 'Chovy Jig will fall with a tight flutter. Ideal for highly finicky gamefish that require “just the right touch” to seal the deal.”

    Bass love em

Threw these during nightly late season blitzes. Seemed to outfish the paddle tails everyone else was throwing. Make sure you get the vmc, not the treble hooks. Long cast good actiion.

    Casting and imitation qualities

Just a great jig for hardtails. Casts a mile, holds good action, and fish love em when on bay anchovies, juvie silversides and small peanuts

    Pretty darn good!

I fished the entire MV Bass and Bluefish Derby this year, 5 weeks, and used this jig. I target the False Albies and Bonitos with good luck. It has its limitations as it’s relatively light so wind and distance are factors. If this was 1-1.5 ounces it would be one of my “go to” jigs. When the fish are in close it’s a killer!

    Cast a mile

Looking to match the hatch, look no further. The action and cast ability is exactly what this lure does. Must have when you are in pursuit of the Albies. These are on my boat 7 days a week. Captain Ross.

    Perfect bait imitation!!!

Just like in your picture of the jig it matched the bait perfectly!! Casting distance from shore is ok in the right conditions. On this day a week ago I picked up both of them on the chovi jig!

Technique: Walk and Gun Peanut Jig Casting Albies

On this shoot, I was in open water in Nantucket Sound running the stretch between East Falmouth and Hyannis, (a known albie run), searching for schools that were in the area which is typical for Late August. I knew from reports they were indeed around, but they were being picky about what they hit and at what speed. Th
