Plug Casting Structure For Snook
Capt. Ross Gallagher hits the Caloosahatchee River at sunrise casting for snook around heavy structure using the Hogy Charter Grade Slider. In this video we show techniques for casting large plugs around heavy structure and current.
Tips:
1. Cast up current from structure likely to hold fish. Allow the Slider to sink for 2-3 seconds before starting retrieve.
2. Begin working the plug with the rod tip up, giving sharp rod tip twitches to impart a darting action.
3. As the lure gets close to the boat, lower your rod tip and continue the darting retrieve.
