5/8oz (2.5inch) Peanut 'Chovy Jig
- Solid Metal Core For Exceptional Casting Distance
- Durable, Through Wired Construction
- Reflective Scale Finish
- Subsurface Side-To-Side Swimming Action
- 4X VMC Treble Hook
- Imitative Laser Eye
Designed for imitating small micro forage such as bay anchovies, silverside
and rainbait to name a few. The ‘Chovy Jig’s flared gills coupled with end-to-end lateral line elevation facilitate side-to-side wobble action. When fished vertically, the Peanut Jig will fall with a tight flutter. Ideal for highly finicky gamefish that require “just the right touch” to seal the deal.”

Looking to match the hatch, look no further. The action and cast ability is exactly what this lure does. Must have when you are in pursuit of the Albies. These are on my boat 7 days a week. Captain Ross.RWRoss W.Verified Buyer

Just like in your picture of the jig it matched the bait perfectly!! Casting distance from shore is ok in the right conditions. On this day a week ago I picked up both of them on the chovi jig!DSDan S.Verified Buyer

I bought the 1oz peanut jig kit specifically for targeting Albies. During a recent trip, I had the good fortune to catch several days of blitzes that produced many fish. On one of those days, the fish seemed to be keyed into pink, so I used the Hogy jig and it was very effective. Casts very well and has good action with a fast retrieve. The finish toward the rear of the jig did wear off pretty quickly after one day of use and about 8 fish landed, but overall, I was very pleased with the performance and the size was prefect for the type of bait the fish were after.JYJames Y.Verified Buyer

We're shut down on Striped Bass right now in the last two weeks of July so you have to focus on other stuff. Turned my sights to White Perch for these couple weeks and we clobbered them!
Well, it was not exactly a "typical" use for this jig but I rigged it up as the "weight" on the bottom of a Sabiki rig with a single in-line 1/0 hook and fished it over structure in the Chesapeake Bay and the White Perch just hammered it.
The smaller Perch liked the small teaser hooks above with the flash but anything with any size just gulped down the Peanut Bunker jig. I lost count of the fish and had just a great day out there. Lost several of them to the oyster reef below but that's the cost of doing business when you are bottom fishing over structure. Remember to get that treble hook off there or you will lose all your gear in just a few drops. Besides, it's a lot more sporty to catch them on the single hook and you can get the fish released a lot easier.
They really liked a natural fall so you pull up and just let it flutter down and they smack it most of the time on the way down.
It was absolutely awesome!
That's all for now. See you out on the water!
