I bought these to throw at the Spanish Mackerel and False Albacore in the surf at OBX. Swapped out the treble hooks for some inline hooks, not because there was anything wrong with the treble. Was in Cape Cod last week throwing a regular jig, after twenty minutes the lead jig was bent and one of the eyes fell out. I don't think that will be the case with these epoxy jigs from Hogy.

A consistent performer for albies and bonito - especially when blind casting. I've had more luck with 5/8 vs 7/8, but I'm not sure if that's because of where I am fishing and the time of year. Blues also love these and they hold up fine if they don't break you off. I have also hooked stripers on these, however, not necessarily targeting them with them. I'm sure they would work for stripers if that is what you are targeting.

The Hogy 6" Epoxy jig was the lure of the day for us. 5 out of 6 Yellowfin took the Jig on top. The other was on a charter grade popper!
