    Black Sea bass caught and released on Long Island Sound.

    The sea bass hit the Jig-Biki teaser and the sea robin hit the jig on the first drop on this morning’s flood tide. I will definitely use the Jig-Biki when the Black Sea bass season reopens in CT waters.

    Quality Teaser

    We used them last week with a Tog jig crab combo and Squinnow Jigs. We had lots of action including 4 keeper BSB on the teasers. Very high quality and worth the money.

    Unstoppable when paired with a Squinnow!

    Last year I started using the squinnow jigs for black bass and fluke, and they consistently outfished every other rig on the boat (bucktails, hi-lows with bait, etc), so I loaded up on them. This year, I added the jig-biki rigs, using the squinnow as my weight, (adding a small strip of squid on the teasers, not necessary for the squinnow), and the results on the black bass have been amazing, constantly double and tripling up. Check out the attached video to see what I mean….I’d definitely recommend loading up on the squinnows and jig biki rigs….an unbeatable combo!

    another great hogy product

    got 2 of these in a mystery box last year and just gave it a try yesterday. threw a 180gr. squinnow jig on the bottom and sent it down with bare hooks. it was a tough day but managed a nice 19" black sea bass on the bottom teaser. with the bare hooks, increased water resistance was very minimal. i will be using this more often for sure. another great hogy product.

Not every trip to the tuna grounds ends up in success (as much as we'd hope it does!). Fortunately, there is world-class groundfishing opportunities for Cod, Haddock and Pollock in the same waters. Spring Haddock Jigging - Stellwagen Bank

We filmed this haddock video a couple weeks ago, and man did it feel good. We were "twitch jigging” in attempt to avoid snagging “by-catch” cod, which sometimes happens on “fast style” jigging where the jig spans a greater area in the water column with sharp hooks and soft cod bodies. Capt. Rob and I each had the same rigs, the 5/0 Crystal Jig-Biki rig paired with the 6.5oz Pink Sand Eel jig. His rig was tipped with sea clam, mine was not! I can’t say I out-fished Capt. Rob but I certainly did as well as he did. AND I made less mess! (No foul hooked fish either!)
