7' 6" Heavy Inshore Conventional Plug Rod

System Role: Old School Action - New School Specialization
SKU: HLTI76MH-C
MSRP: $225.00

Parabolic Power. Trigger Control. Specialty Utility.
This is the dedicated-use conventional complement to the Hogy inshore system. While spinning rods cover most inshore situations, The long soft conventional rod is for anglers who want the control of a trigger grip, the alignment of high guides with round reels, and the cushion of parabolic action for groundfish, trolling, or heavy plugs. It is old-school in feel, but purpose-built for modern braid and modern fish.

Description:

The Hogy System Specialty 7’6” Heavy Conventional Rod is the conventional twin of The Plugger. Built on the same parabolic blank, it trades a spinning seat for a trigger grip and high-frame guides designed to line up with larger-diameter round reels like the Avet LX6.

Unlike “musky-style” conventional rods with low-profile guides that sit tight to the blank, The Lifter uses a high-guide train for better line clearance. This keeps braid flowing clean on large round spools, avoids frame rub, and preserves casting smoothness even with heavy plugs. A parabolic, heavy-power conventional rod with high-frame guides for round reels. This is the dedicated tool for low-sweep hooksets on tog and fluke, trolling tubes along rocky structure, and lobbing oversized plugs with full control.

    Very impressed

Great build with quality components. Should be nice with those plugs that are a little heavier but can handle the small plastic as well.
