Playbook Bundle: Albie and Bonito System (17pc)

Playbook Bundle: Albie and Bonito System:

Hogy’s mantra, “Fish smart. Fish simple,” couldn’t be more fitting than for albie season, a brief yet intense window of peak fishing. With extreme weather variations and finicky fish, no two consecutive days are alike. Our albie system is designed to position you for success with minimal gear, helping you to fish fast, slow, short, and long with ease.
#fishsmartfishsimple

Slowtail Swimbait:

The Hogy Slow Tail redefines action at minimal speeds, designed to target finicky predators. Its standout feature lies in its capability to exhibit dynamic action even when retrieved slowly. This is particularly vital in scenarios demanding subtlety to entice wary fish.

Long-Range Surface Eraser:

The Hogy Surface Eraser can be described as a compact pencil popper. It casts like a jig, has the sink rate of a plug, and swims like a softbait. This slender topwater plug is designed for durability and long-range casting, excelling in trophy surface action.

Hogy Epoxy Jig Lure®:

Crafted for versatility and exceptional performance, the Hogy Epoxy Jig Lure stands as the obvious choice for anglers targeting a broad spectrum of game fish. Its unique design allows for an array
of fishing techniques, from topwater casting to slow-pitch jigging, ensuring it meets the dynamic needs of both novice and seasoned fishermen.

Heavy Minnow Jig:

The Heavy Minnow Jig is meticulously designed for
anglers aiming to achieve long casts and rapid retrieves. Its thick, compact body is crafted to cut through the wind, ensuring stability even at high speeds. This design philosophy not only facilitates exceptional hook sets but also minimizes missed catches, making it an indispensable tool for both surface and sub-surface fishing endeavors.

Peanut Jigs:

The Peanut Bunker Jig is a perfect replica of a
peanut bunker, designed for precision and effectiveness. Its unique high center of gravity and tapered belly slope create a distinctive wobbling action at medium retrieval speeds, making it ideal for inshore zones.

Sand Eel Jigs:

These jigs are tailored for anglers looking to mimic the sand eel's appearance and behavior closely. This casting jig is designed for a broad range of applications, from inshore waters to the deeper offshore zones, catering to those targeting species like albies and striped bass.

Pop 'N Fly:

The Hogy Protail Flies are designed to imitate micro-forage with an ultra-life-like swimming action and profile. Several years in the making, the Hogy Protail Fly has deep roots from Capt. Mike's time as an Orvis-endorsed fly-fishing guide on Cape Cod. These heavy-duty softbait flys are made with the same durable soft plastic as our popular pre-rigged Protail Series. They can be used traditionally on fly fishing setups, or a favorite here at Hogy, behind a clear popper with the “Pop N’ Fly” technique.

Northeast Inshore Playbook:

Learn how to simplify your fishing techniques to catch more fish. Each playbook features in-depth how-to instructions for productive techniques, gear tips, lure retrieves, and insight from veteran Hogy Staff.

    The perfect beach bonito offering

The 7/8 Hogy epoxy jig is the single best beach funny fish tin out there. Perfect mix of size/weight/action to use the majority of the time. The single inlines make releasing fish a lot easier and safer for everyone involved… but those trebles still hook more.

    Versatility

The Epoxy changed the game years ago, with such a variety of sizes and colors these jigs catch everything. From Bluefin Tuna to Black Seabass, never underestimate the epoxy. I use them throughout the season on a variety of species. They are easy for my clients to fish, and extremely effective.

    They just work

Bought some in preparation for albies, but I’ve caught several other fish on them (Black Sea bass, stripers, sea robins (yuck), and even a jack) They work well in both jigging and cast & retrieve, if there’s fish in your waters these will find them. Also worth mentioning the stock hardware is quality
