    Great sand eel lure!

Worked great on Striped Bass feeding on sand eels in the surf. I particularly like the size, shape and strength of the hook. Great lure!

    Bass love em!

I fished this eel a lot this fall here in Massachusetts. It was really fun to fish around any structure where I would traditionally fish a live eel. Easy to fish and always gets the response I’m looking for. I’ve found that a slow retrieval and slight switches of the rod tip, give this lure a very life like action.

Definitely a go to lure on my boat from April-November.

    These have been the ticket

In NJ, it seems like the stripers are really keyed into the sand eels this year. We added these as an addition to our colored eel dredges. We rig them 16-18” down the middle of rig. We also run mojos and I can honestly say, the eels get hit 2-3 times more than the mojos when we troll.

Dropping “Eels” for Stripers in A Kayak: A Shallow Water Approach

The Historical Roots of Dropping Eels from a Kayak The tradition of dropping eels from a kayak has deep roots, especially in shallow waters where striped bass and other predators frequent. In the past, live or dead eels were used in tandem with weights to reach the bottom, and anglers would slowly drift or anchor...
