    Jigging Stripers

    I am an avid surf fisherman in North Jersey, but I get some of my colleagues to charter a striper trip every year in the fall and spring. We had our fall trip yesterday (11/7) and it was fantastic. I always bring my spin outfit in case we have a jigging opportunity. Conditions were great and the sand eels were plentiful. I had my new 7.5 Protail eel all ready to go. It didn't disappoint. The 2.25oz was perfect for getting down where the fish were.

    What is it about the hook on this lure? It always hooks the fish in the sweet spot and I’ve yet to lose a single fish that’s gone in for a taste on this protail

    These things are like gold to these Maine strippers

    I had 5 last week n have already gone through all of them to breaking off on rocks after hooking up. Bit pricey but just like everything else in the world right now. Will be ordering more of these guys asap. One of my new favorites baits from you guys. Strippers love these things n will catch fish on these when they aren’t biting anything else I throw at em.

    A little too attractive

    I was hoping to reach some striped bass that were holding near the bottom, but my Protail eel was assaulted by bluefish before it could reach them.
