Tuna Jigging Lock & Load Bundle

Description

The Offshore Crate's jigging lane, boxed. When the fish are marked on the screen instead of showing on top, this is the setup that gets down to them and gets them up.

5'9" Tuna Jigging Spinning Rod: a short, full range parabolic stick that moves a heavy jig fast and then holds a fish that wants to run straight down under the boat.

Harness Jigs (4 oz, 4 oz, 6 oz): the workhorse. Drop to the mark, crank hard off the bottom, let it fall on a tight line. The assist rig sits the hooks high on the head where a tuna eats a fleeing bait, so short strikes turn into hookups. Two 4 oz in complementary patterns cover green water and clean, and the 6 oz steps up when the drift picks up or the fish sit deeper.

Speed Tails (8", three four-packs): the answer when a fast metal jig gets followed and refused. Same drop, slower rise, more tail movement on the fall. Twelve tails across three patterns, enough to rerig all day and keep testing when one stops producing.

Sand Eel Jigs (3.5 oz, 8.5 oz, 12 oz): the depth and current ladder. Start at 3.5 when the fish are 80 to 120 feet and the tide is soft, step to 8.5 when you are marking deeper or the drift stiffens, and go to 12 when you need the jig on the bottom and hanging vertical in real current.

That range is what keeps you in the strike zone instead of scoping out sideways behind the boat.
Read the sounder, pick the weight, drop.
